Kuwaiti Family Finalist in Global AI Competition

CBC-K congratulates Member Elena Ardelean, her organization Artificial Intelligence Development Agency (AIDA), and the Al Mohamad Ali family of Kuwait!

Under Elena’s leadership, AIDA ran an 8-month “#TechnovationFamilies” program that provided parents and their children (ages 8-16 years) with training in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and then challenged them to come up with an AI-based solution to a community problem.

Programs like this were run concurrently throughout 2019-20 in 13 countries around the world and generated over 250 AI-based solutions.  All were then entered into a global competition from which 6 finalists were chosen.  The finalist families are invited to attend the Technovation Global Championship in Boston, Massachusetts USA from August 10-14, 2020. At the Championship, each family presents its solution to an international panel of AI industry experts.

For the very first time, a family from Kuwait – the Al Mohamad Ali family - has been chosen to be among the six finalists!  Congratulations Elena and the Al Mohamad Ali family!
