Established in 2005, the objectives of the CBC-K are:

  • To provide a professional forum where members of the Canadian business community in Kuwait can regularly assemble to network and exchange information
  • To continue to build on the long-standing and excellent relationship Canada enjoys with Kuwait
  • To assist Canadian companies and business people considering doing business in the Kuwait
  • To increase our members' network, via interaction with the national business community of Kuwait as well as other national business councils
  • To promote and foster investment in commercial opportunities in Canada by investors from Kuwait

CBC-K Member’s Organization Wins International Awards
 
For the second time this year, CBC-K congratulates Member Elena Ardelean and her innovative organization Artificial Intelligence 4 Development Agency (AIDA)!
After helping a Kuwaiti family become a finalist in a global Artificial Intelligence (AI) competition, AIDA has now been globally recognized for its innovative work by the Business Worldwide Magazine, achieving first-place in two of its 2020 GCC Business Excellence Awards categories - 'Best Artificial Intelligence (AI) Related Social Enterprise - GCC' and 'Tech Non-Profit Organization of the Year - Global'.
 
AIDA is recognized as the first organization in the MENA region to take a social awareness and community action approach to AI, with a particular focus on youth and female empowerment.  
CBC-K congratulates AIDA and its Founder and CEO, Elena Ardelean, for these prestigious and well-deserved awards!
